James Hillier, 78, of Gladwin

James L. Hillier, 78, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

He was born on January 7, 1944, the son of Wilbur and Josephine (Mather) Hillier in Gladwin. He was united in marriage to Darlene Koontz in 1964. Together they shared 58 years of marriage. He worked for several companies in Gladwin retiring from Simpson Industries. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and throughout his lifetime enjoyed farming.

He is survived by his wife: Darlene Hillier; son: Chad Hillier; brothers: (Donald) JoAnne and Scott (Chari); sisters: JoAnne Cameron and Lisa (Kirk) McGuire; sister in-law: Sally Koontz-Looker; along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter: Deidra; parents; stepmother: Lela Hillier; brother in-laws: Clarence Koontz and Bill Looker.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 5-8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from noon until the time of service at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin.
