Boogie

Roland Stanley Boughner, “Boogie” to his family and friends, age 79 of Hale, MI., passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2022. He was born on October 12, 1942 in Waukesha, WI. to the late Harry and Hazel (McLean) Boughner.

He served in the Army from 1960 – 1963 and was honorably discharged. After his service he became an engineer in the Tool and Die industry.

Boogie was a resident of Iosco County for many years and former resident of Warren, MI. He also belonged to the Hale Eagles Club and Hale Shriners in the past. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping.

Boogie is survived by his son, Bruce (Amanda) Boughner; step-sons, Mike and Ed Baker; brothers, Bruce, Bob, and Jimmy Boughner; sister, Janice Johnson; grandchildren, Nicholas and Brooke Boughner and Briannah Sunde, and his best friend of 52 years, Bill Crumback.

Boogie is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Allen and Bill, and sister Carol. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
