Larry Lee, 77, of Omer

Celebrating the Life of Lawrence “Larry” Lee

Larry was born to the late Loren and Myrtle Lee, in Gonvick, Minnesota, on Aug 18th, 1944 and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Aug 11, 2022 at the age of 77. Larry entered the United States Marine Corp after graduating High School, and served in Vietnam, where he received a purple heart. After returning from Vietnam, he settled in Vassar, Michigan, and worked for General Motors as a skilled tradesman in various capacities eventually retiring in an administrative position.

Larry was an avid outdoorsman, he grew up hunting and fishing and also loved snowmobiling as well as riding ATV’s. His true passions were hunting Whitetails and fishing for walleye and he would spend a lot of his off time involved in those activities. Larry was also an incredible cook and was well known for knocking it out of the park around the holidays, always preparing incredible feasts with way more dishes than anyone in attendance could handle.

Larry is survived by his long time significant other Sandy Ecker; his son and daughter in law Scott & Monica Lee; his grandchildren, Kevin, Anna, and Grace Lee; his brother Chet Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Ann.

According to Larry’s wishes cremation has taken place. No Memorial service is planned at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan.
