Marlene Supernaw, 86, of Prudenville

Marlene Mae (Hans) Supernaw, age 86, of Prudenville passed away on Thursday July 7, 2022 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.

Marlene was born on September 7, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to Harold and Irma (Adlam) Hans. Marlene graduated from Central High School in Flint in 1954.After graduation she attended Michigan College of Beauty Culture and graduated in 1956. She went on to attend Virginia Farrell Academy of Detroit and graduated in 1957. She then began working at Smith Bridgman from 1957-1970. Marlene was a hairdresser for 45 years and retired in 2001.

Marlene married Floyd “Dale” Supernaw on October 11, 1958 in Flint. They were married for 52 years before his passing. The couple moved to Gladwin in 1990, then in 2001 they moved to Prudenville. She worked at two local salons before retiring. Marlene enjoyed making flower arrangements and caring for her family and friends.  

Marlene is survived by her loving brother; Ronald (Ann) Hans of Prudenville, Godchildren; Tina (Jim) Tremper of Prudenville and Kevin (Karleen) Hans of Prudenville, along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Floyd “Dale” Supernaw in 2011. 

Per Marlene’s request cremation has taken place and there will be a private family gathering. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
