Vera Mae (Farling) Dennings, age 86, loving mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Brooke in Gladwin, Michigan. She was born on October 25, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Charles & Lizzie (Ragsdale) Everhart.
She married the love of her life Lawrence Farling on May 6, 1955 in Flint, Michigan. He predeceased her on June 25, 2001. She was fortunate when she found love again and married Clayton Dennings on October 1, 2005 at the Assembly of God Church in Gladwin, Michigan. He predeceased her on July 23, 2020.
Vera was a life time member of the Gladwin Assembly of God Church as well as the Gideons International. She will always be remembered as being a social butterfly as well as being very active in her church family. She most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children; Debbie (Charles) Drudge, Timothy Farling, daughter-in-law Margaret Dennings, DeVere (Carole) Dennings, Roger (Janet) Dennings, sister-in-law Velma Everhardt. Grandchildren; Adam (Katie) Drudge, April (Roni) Tawfeeq, Timothy Farling, Jim (Paula) Dennings, Mary Anne (Larry) Kilbourn, Rebecca (Martin) Phillips, Ruth Ann (Dane) Spencer, Phillip (Alicia) Dennings, Susanna Dennings-Peterson, Stacy (Joe) Plude, Angela (Kevin) Daugherty, Brock (Lacey) Dennings, Ryan (Monica) Dennings, Brent (Kara) Dennings, Amy (Michael) Sharp and Kevin (Holly) Dennings as well as several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her two husbands and a son Doyle Dennings, and her brother Charles Everhardt.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11 am from the Gladwin Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Withrow presiding with burial in Grout Township Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Gladwin Chapel on Friday, from 4 to 8 pm.
On Saturday, Vera will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Gladwin Assembly of God Church in Vera’s honor.
