Popeye Jaggers, 50, of Roscommon

Ronnie “Popeye” Lee Jaggers, age 50, of Roscommon, died on Friday, May 6, 2022, at his home in the presence and comfort of his family.

Popeye was born January 20, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Ronnie and Carol (Jaggers) VanOver.

Popeye enjoyed helping people. He loved to volunteer at the Roscommon Elementary School. He enjoyed being able to see the children at school laugh and having fun. Popeye’s family will remember him for enjoying working on cars, hunting, and fishing. All the good ol’ country stuff. Most of all, he will be remembered for the willingness to give you the shirt off his back, no questions asked.

Popeye will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his children: daughter, Chyenne Jaggers, son, Austin Jaggers; as well as many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Popeye is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, as well as his mother Carol.

Popeye’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
