Leonard Kareus, 66, of Marlette, previously from Gladwin, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. He was born on November 13, 1955, the son of Leonard and Mary (Codden) Kareus in Detroit. He was employed for Local 85 in Saginaw and Local 636 in Detroit as a pipefitter until his retirement. He loved hunting, farming and the great outdoors.
He is survived by his children: Jeremiah (Jasmine) Kareus of Pinconning, Ryan Kareus of Beaverton, and Janet (Tony) Blackall of Pierson; grandchildren: Zoe, Scarlette, Axle, Alex, Christopher, and Seirra; his parents: Leonard and Mary; and his brother: Dan (Mary Lou) Kareus. Leonard also leaved behind his girlfriend: Betty Bowers of Marlette.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 3-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin.
