Ralph Frey, 82, of Fairview

Ralph N. Frey, age 82 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Gulfside Hospice Center in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Ralph was born on May 27, 1939 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Robert and Ruth (Coats) Frey. He served his country in the Army for several years after his high school graduation. He worked for many years as a draftsman at Buhr Machine.

Later, Ralph and his wife Joan owned the Fairview Coffee Shop for 20 years and enjoyed building relationships with their community. The couple were members of the Mio Baptist Church, and while he and Joan wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida, they attended Victory Baptist Church. Ralph was a prominent Gideon member for over 30 years. He was also a 4H Leader, Boy Scout, and Boy Scout Leader.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 59 years Joan Frey; his children: Sherry Hanson-Corp (Chad Corp) and Karen Fenskie (William Fenskie Jr.); his brother: Rolland Frey (Joan Frey); his grandchildren: Amber Whitman (Dan Whitman), Ashley Hanson (Jake Coward), Ally Hanson (Kyle Aldrich), Analise Hanson (Brad Guy), Michael Ervay (Alix Shea), and Mallory Fenskie; and his great-grandchildren: Luke Whitman, Liam Coward, Oakley Coward, Keagan Aldrich, Brady Aldrich, Kennedy Guy, and Kady Spangler. Also surviving him are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Phillip Frey and his mother Ruth Hazel (Coats) Frey.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Mio Baptist Church, with Rev. Glynn McMorris officiating. Military Honors to follow and a light luncheon.
