Leona Solheim, 90, of Prescott

Leona Myrta (Rhyndress) Solheim passed away on April 22, 2022 in Auburn, MI. 

She was born January 20, 1932 in San Joaquin, CA to Leon and Beatrice (Van Meer) Rhyndress. 

Leona worked for General Motors Company and became a care giver and then a Hospice volunteer.  She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, gardening, sewing and attending the Church of Christ of which she was a member. 

She is survived by her children, Deanna (Tom) Colombe of Prescott, Daniel Solheim of Prescott, Carl (Karen) Solheim, Deborah (Edward) Beard of Pontiac, Denise (Jim) Smith of Columbiaville; brothers, Theordore (Bridgette) Rhyndress of Sterling, Larry (Pam) Rhyndress of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Solheim; daughter, Penny (Gary) Kring; sister, Virginia Rhyndress, Galoria Rhyndress; brothers, John Rhyndress, Buck Rhyndress, Leon Rhyndress Jr., Albert Rhyndress.

Per Leona’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Service times will be available soon. You may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
