Dorothy Pretzer, 98, of Standish

    Dorothy Mary Pretzer, 98 passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022. She was born January 11, 1924 in Freeland, Michigan to the late Gottlieb and Catherine (Spindler) Schlicker.

    Dorothy was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Dorothy loved to play bingo; she was an area regular.

    Dorothy is survived by her two daughters; Diane McCasland and Sharon (Harry) Kocot and her six grandchildren; Debra (Andrew) Garduno, Robert McCasland, Catherine McCasland, Daniel Kocot, Samantha (Logan) Dalton and Shantell Kocot. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; Bob McCasland, Katie Galbreath, Jessica and Jason McCasland, Danny Garduno, Mackenzie and Madilyn Dalton and four great great grandchildren; Isabella, Henry, Alli and Haley. She was predeceased by her parents, Gottlieb and Catherine Schlicker and siblings, Eileen and Virgil VanTol, Elmer and Arlene Schlicker and Edward and Nora Schlicker and son in-law, Bill McCasland.

    Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew T. Dent officiating.
    According to Dorothy’s wishes cremation has taken place.

    The family will greet family and friends at Bethlehem Lutheran Church from 11:30 am until time of service at 1;00 pm.

    In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, located at 5622 Johnsfield Rd., Standish, Michigan.

    The family would like to thank everyone at Compassus Hospice and Ascension/Standish Long Term Care for their excellent care of their mother.
