Bill Desonia, 84, of Atlanta

Mr. William Larson Desonia, 84 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at MediLodge of Hillman on April 7, 2022.

He was born in Glasgow, Montana on March 6, 1938 to the late, Frank and Elizabeth (Hanson) Desonia.

Bill served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps serving two tours. In 1988, he married his wife, Rosalie (Beedon) Desonia and together they celebrated 33 years of marriage before his passing. The couple moved to the Atlanta area in 2005, formerly of Priest River, Idaho. Bill enjoyed collecting items and was a big advocate for recycling. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Desonia of Atlanta; children, Neal Dafoe of Atlanta; Bonnie (Kenny) Stetter of Wasilla, Alaska; Aaron (Marilyn) Dafoe of Wasilla, Alaska; Quentin Pike Dafoe of Atlanta; Sarah Desonia of North Dakota, Lauren Rhyne of Indiana; Jillian Desonia of Anchorage, Alaska; Matthew Desonia of Willow, Alaska; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Desonia; brother, Bobby; and grandchildren, Crystal Rose Stetter; and Patrick Dafoe.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of his life at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Visitation will take place from noon until time of service. All veterans are welcome to attend to pay their respects to their fallen brother.
