Peter Joseph Caruso, 89, of Gladwin Michigan was born on November 18, 1932 in Wyandotte, MI. He is survived by three daughters: Ms. Rose Miller, Michelle Mullins, and Jill Caruso. Peter leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Peter served proudly in the Korean War. A war veteran, he proudly displayed his Korean War Veteran cap most everywhere he went.
Peter enjoyed euchre most nights of the week. Creating a circle of friends that became family over the years. When not monopolizing the euchre tournaments, he enjoyed nature. Hunting was his lifelong passion. Deer, Turkey, ducks, and anything that moved often found themselves in the crosshairs of his cherished rifle. If not in the trees he was in, yes in, the rivers fishing.
Peter loved flowers and dabbled in exotic species. Often spotting a fabulous find alongside the road and “helping” it to a safer ground in his garden. Peter discovered his love for nature crossed into breeding and raising birds. Finches and canaries were they apples of his eyes.
The love of family and friends and his love of nature came second to only his love of PASTA! If you know, you know.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin, 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of sending flowers, Peter’s granddaughter, Tanya Kadamus, requests a donation in his honor to be determined.
