Michael Lee Leonard, III, age 28, of Northern Michigan, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, in Midland, MI. Husband of Kristin Leonard whom he shared 5 years of marriage/partnership.
Michael was born February 18, 1994, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Michael Lee Leonard, II and Eva May Webster.
Michael had one of the biggest hearts; always giving, there when someone needed him and answering his phone with a listening ear. Michael will always be remembered, and his memories cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Michael was first and foremost the most stubborn and independent man you would have ever had the pleasure to meet. From day one he made his own decisions and chose his own paths. As the years came and went Michael grew into a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, husband and the most important title of all, DAD!
He used to tell everyone that he was a “jack of all trades, and master of none”. Michael was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at home and for friends. He enjoyed his children and teaching them about cars, fishing, hunting and everything that involved being outside. Michael loved guns, trucks and pretty much anything with a motor or something that could be taken apart and put back together.
Michael is survived by his wife Kristin Leonard; children, Haylee, Leo, Katherine, and Michael IV; mother Eva (Trevor) MacDonald, grandparents Michael & Cora Leonard; siblings Rockelle (Robert) Lienhart, Joseph Webster, Scott (Mel) DeRosia, Gail (Robert) Freeland; and life-long best friend Billy (Libby) Griffin.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Michael Lee Leonard, II; grandfather Joseph Harl Webster Sr.; and great-grandparents Henry & Dorothy Bremer.
Michael’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time, with no funeral service or memorial.
