Melanie Rene (Vliet) Utt, age 60, of Prescott, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Melanie was born September 11, 1961 in Marathon, FL to Leo & Kathryn (Matthews) Vleit. She married Donald W. Utt in Flint, Michigan in 1998.
She worked as a domestic engineer as well as a dog groomer. Melanie enjoyed puzzles, cooking with her grandchildren, and spending time with her friends at the America Legion.
Melanie is survived by her husband Donald; children, Trisha (Pat) Flaherty, Nicole Jones, Starla (Aaron) Dean, Autumn (Garland) Jairrels; mother, Kathryn (Matthews) Warner; sisters, Kathy Lerma, Diane Waugh; brothers, Timothy Bradley, David (Nancy) Warner, Leo Vleit, Brian (Jean) Vleit; grandchildren, Savea, Araya, Rene, Gabe, Cadence, Abigail, and Millie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Leo Vleit; brother, Dennis Warner and son, Jeffrey Dougherty. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
