Mary Antoinette (Hagen) Keyes, age 87, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born July 15, 1934, in Lansing, Michigan to Theodore and Mathilda (Videtich) Hagen. She was their eldest daughter.
After raising her family in Lansing and retiring in 1997 from the State of Michigan, Mary finished her dream home on Lake Lancer at Sugar Springs in Gladwin, Michigan, moved there and that was her residence until her death. Mary was a devout parishioner and active member of Sacred Heart Church. She was an excellent seamstress and retirement allowed her to become a quilting “queen” on her own and with the Sugar Springs Stitchers.
She is survived by her children; Karen (Maurice) Zarka, David Gibbs, Bruce Gibbs, Cheryl Gibbs and her siblings; Delores Forbes, Theodore Hagen, Thomas (Cherie) Hagen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest son, William T. Gibbs.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. There is a tentative date of May 20 for a memorial service. On that date, William T. Gibbs and Billy Allen Gibbs (father of her children) will be remembered and laid to rest.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
