Lynn Donald Daniels, age 68, of Whittemore, Michigan, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan.
Lynn was born the son of Donald Joseph and Dorothy Aneda (Koelsch) Daniels August 6, 1953 in West Branch, Michigan. He graduated from Whittemore-Prescott Area Schools in 1971.
Lynn owned and operated the WLR Daniels Dairy Farm his entire life. He enjoyed working alongside his family keeping the farm going. He was passionate about working in his fields, planting, and harvesting crops to feed his farm’s herd of dairy cows. Lynn was elected and served as a Burleigh Township Trustee from 2001 to the present. For numerous reasons, Lynn meant a great deal to all of us who were fortunate to have known him. Lynn will be remembered for his selflessness, thoughtfulness, intelligence, tireless work ethic, and devotion to his family and friends.
On August 16, 1980, Lynn married the former Lugene Paula Suszuko at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Standish, Michigan and together they celebrated 36 years of marriage until Lue’s unexpected passing in 2016. Lynn leaves behind his daughter, Mary Daniels of Whittemore, Michigan; son, Luke and Lindsey (Sievers) Daniels of Whittemore, Michigan; grandchildren, Seth and Sydney Daniels; brother, Rodney and Anne Daniels of Whittemore, Michigan; sisters, Lorene and Mike Saunders of West Branch, Michigan and Carol and Mark Gingerich of National City, Michigan; sister-in-law, Janice Daniels of Whittemore, Michigan; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy Daniels; wife, Lugene; and brother, Wallace Daniels.
Visitation for Lynn will take place from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Buresh Funeral Home, 121 South Washington Street. Hale, Michigan 48739. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 5, 2022 at St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church, 2811 Greenwood Road, Prescott, Michigan 48756. Father Lawrence Boks will officiate.
Private interment will take place next to his wife, Lugene, in Clayton Township Cemetery in Sterling, Michigan.
