Joanne Lanczak, 95, of Standish

Joanne Elizabeth Lanczak, 95, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

She was born October 13, 1926 in Deep River Township, Arenac County to the late Bernard and Nellie (Angers) Senske. Joanne married Edward Lanczak November 18, 1944 in Standish at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Ed passed away December 7, 1999.

Joanne enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing and doing puzzles. She loved playing cards with her Club Ladies and her sisters. She was also known for her ability to cook and bake.

Joanne is survived by her 3 children; Susan Miller, Debra (Richard) Walsh, Deanne (John) Stefanovsky and son-in-law, Paul Guzdzial. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Renae, Sherry, Sarah (Tod), Rebecca (Shawn), Thomas Jr. (Molly), Stephanie (Jessie) and Stacy, 9 great grandchildren: Samantha, Rachael, Abigayle, Nathan, Amiah, Maya, Marissa, Addison and Grayson and 1 great great grandchild, Raylan. Joanne is survived by 6 siblings; Bernadette Miscisin, Genevieve Brazon, Bernard Senske, Margaret Osier, Henry Senske and Eugene Senske and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Nellie Senske, her husband, Edward Lanczak, one daughter, Mary Ann and 4 siblings; Mary Lou Debinski, Helene Wood, Julian Senske and Paul Senske.


Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Standish, Michigan with Rev. Fr. David Parsch officiating. The family will greet family and friends Monday, February 7, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan where a prayer service will be held 7:00 pm.

Joanne will lie in-state at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church from 10:00 am Tuesday till time of Mass at 11:00 am.
