Bill Bedtelyon, 82, of West Branch

William “Bill” V. Bedtelyon, age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was born in West Branch, MI on February 26, 1939. He was proceeded in death by his parents Vernice “Bill” and Lois Bedtelyon.

As a child Bill grew up on the family farm. His first job was working at a bicycle factory in town. Bill also drove truck, built houses, and retired in 1995 from Dow Corning Corporation.

Bill enjoyed retirement for 27 years, volunteering at the Ogemaw County Fair, traveling throughout the US and residing in Florida during the winter. His fondest memories included the Alaska Trip and 47 years of Our Gang Fish Camp.

Surviving is his wife Judy of 57 years; son Bruce and daughter in-law Monica and daughter Kim and son-in-law Kevin; 3 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, February 3, 2022 starting at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Michelle Forsyth will officiate. Burial will follow at Selkirk Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation can be made to Churchill United Methodist Church, PO Box 620, West Branch MI 48661, or Whispering Hope Ranch, 659 Mayhew Rd, Rose City, MI 48654.
