Age 86, of South Branch, MI passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born on September 22, 1935 in Greenup, Kentucky to the late Minda Marie Barker. Robert married the love of his life, Diane Edna Quillen (Breese) in 1964 and together, they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. They were former residents of Milford, MI before settling in South Branch.
As a young man, he served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1957 and was honorably discharged. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and spending time at the Casino.
Robert is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Debbie Vernier, Pamela (Ron) Weatherly, Linda (Doug) Steenrod, Kimberly (Charvel) Sims, Cheryl Quillen, and Robert Scott Quillen; siblings, Mike Quillen, Gerold Quillen, and Jill Jester; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minda Quillen; brothers, Glen and Leroy and sister, Judy Sprinkle. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 10 AM until the time of service beginning at 1 PM at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI. Interment will follow the service in Oak Grove Cemetery in South Branch, MI.
