Bob Wysocki, 82, of Mio

Robert “Bob” Wysocki passed away at his home on January 11, 2022.

He was born November 19, 1939 in Capac, Michigan to Stanley and Gladys (McKinstry) Wysocki. He grew up in East Detroit and graduated from East Detroit High School. Following graduation, Bob joined the US Army and served his country for four years.

Bob married the former Dorothy Harris and they made their home in the Detroit area before they moved with their children to Mio in 1970. Bob retired from Hoskins Manufacturing in 1999.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sporting events, especially the Detroit Tigers, golfing, fishing, throwing horseshoes, and home improvements projects. He was a member of the Mio Moose and Sons of the American Legion.

Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; his son and daughter-in-law Stuart and Peggy (Potter) of Luzerne, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Clifford Parker of Petoskey, son and daughter-in-law Robert, Jr. and Jean (Williams) of Hale and son and daughter-in-law Mark and Kelli (Carlson) of Petoskey; his brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Edna Wysocki, sister-in-law Shirley Thomas, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gerald.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service at Mentor Township Cemetery in Mio will take place in the spring.

Those wishing to make a charitable contribution in Bob’s memory may consider the American Heart Association.
