Amo Duynslager, 91, of Fairview

Amiel (Amo) Duynslager, age 91, of Fairview, passed away January 20, 2022.

He was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mio. Amiel retired from Asplundh Tree Expert Company (IBEW 17) in 1992. H

e and Connie moved to Fairview from Macomb Township; to spend time camping, traveling northern Michigan, fishing, and spend time with family. His greatest enjoyment was telling stories around the bonfire and beating anyone and everyone playing board game “Bump”.

His legacy lives on through his children and grand children. He is survived by Connie, his wife of 67 years, sons Scott and Lee (Ivette), daughters Brenda Carufel, Amy Yager (Jeff), Beth (Devon Cornelius), and Lisa; three grandchildren Laura Hock (David), Jake Carufel (Autumn), Steve Yager (Brittany); and four great-grand children.

At a future date a funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church in Mt. Clemens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Woods Shrine, at St. Mary’s Church in Mio (olwshrine.org).
