David Karn, 66, of Hale

David Russell Karn, 66, of Hale, passed away at home on December 9, 2021. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 16, 1955. He was raised in the Detroit area and then later moved to Hale, Michigan.

Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to be able to go out with all of his family members on many occasions. He was a volunteer fireman and sheriff’s auxiliary member early in life. Dave bought a motor home to be able to take his parents camping and they went on many adventures together. On the warm summer days, you would find Dave being the captain of his boat taking the family around the lakes. It made him smile to be able to take his nieces tubing or fishing on these trips. He loved to be able to try new things: polishing rocks, mining for gold or planting an apple orchard. His raspberry and pumpkin patch brought much happiness to his community as he sold many of these items in their front yard, or donated items to the community

David was an active member and served in his Church in Hale.
He was preceeded in death by his Father, Edward R. Karn, Mother, Gertrude L. (Mundt) Karn and his Furever companion, Scooter.

David is survived by his brother Edward (Shirl) Karn, and sister Nancy (Richard) Krohn. Nieces and Nephews: Heather Karn, Sarah (Jeremy) West, Melanie (Brian) Gilbert and Tasha Karn. Richard (Kim) Krohn, Ryan (Sherry) Krohn, Rachael (Pete) Matson, and Rusty (Chantelle) Krohn, He also has 18 Great Nieces and Nephews.
