HOUGTHON LAKE – Margaret A. Blanchard, 79, of Houghton Lake Heights passed away on Sunday June 20, 2021 at home by her loving family.
Margaret was born on August 21, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan to Henry and Paula (Babe) Hundt. She grew up in the Lansing area and graduated from high school in Lansing. Margaret moved from Lansing to the Houghton Lake area in 1964 with her family. On September 9, 1983 Margaret was married to Howard G. Blanchard. She worked at the River House Shelter and the Houghton Lake Resorter. Margaret was a member of Houghton Lake VFW Post 4034 Auxiliary and was an avid bingo player and puzzle player.
Surviving Mrs. Blanchard are her three sons, Bruce Hundt of Houghton Lake Heights, Mark Duval of Houghton Lake, and Brian Duval of Prudenville; sister-in-law Margaret Hundt of Lansing; brother-in-law, John Ellis of Dimondale; several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Balnchard; son, Donald Duval; two sisters, Dorothy Johns, and Arlene Ellis; four brothers, Bruce Hundt, Richard Hundt, Keith Hundt, and Robert Hundt.
Funeral Services for Margaret A. Blanchard will be conducted at 11:00am Friday June 25, 2021 from Abundant Grace Assembly of God, Prudenville, with Pastor Dennis Saglimbene officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday June 25, 2021 at Abundant Grace Assembly of God from 10:00am to 11:00am. Memorial contributions in memory of Margaret are asked to be directed to the family.
