Rex A. Robbins, 64, of Prudenville

Rex A. Robbins, age 64, of Prudenville passed away on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Rex was born on January 17, 1957 in Lansing, Michigan to Charles and Naomi (Moore) Robbins Jr. He served in the US Army for 21 years 6 months and 8 days as an electrician and moving heavy equipment. Rex was married on May 21, 1981 in Toledo, Ohio to Lynn Marie Fitsko. The couple moved to Prudenville in 1986 from Lansing. Rex was a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge, Houghton Lake Eagles and American Legion. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, going fishing and spending time on the lake. 

Rex is survived by his son; Chris Robbins of Lyles, Tennessee, daughters; Theresa (Keith) Hanson of East Jordan, Kelli Robbins of Houghton Lake, Jennifer (Kevin Jordan) Robbins of Houghton Lake and seventeen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Lynn, brothers; Robert Robbins, Richard Robbins and Charles Robbins, sisters; Joan Powell and Kay Leathers.  

Funeral Services for Rex A. Robbins will be conducted 12:00pm Monday March 29, 2021 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Rev. Bryan V. Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm on Monday March 29, 2021 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing. Memorial contributions in Rex’s memory are asked to be directed to the family. Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
