Janet Kann, 73, passed away on October 19, 2020, at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, Florida.
She was born in West Branch, Michigan, on September 24, 1947, to Gloyd and Frances Money of Mio, Michigan. Janet has two siblings, Carolyn (Fred) Ouellette of Marine City, Michigan and Dan (Debbie) Money of Mio, Michigan.
Janet attended Mio AuSable School where she was active in band and a member of the Triple Trio singing group. This is also where she met her husband of 53 years, Jack Kann. They were married in 1967 and had two children, Duane (Margaret) Kann of Winter Springs, Florida, and DeAnna (Rich) Wallace of Flushing, Michigan. Janet has two grandsons, Jason Kann of Phoenix Arizona, and Justin Kann of Orlando, Florida.
Janet worked at Mio AuSable School for 15 years before moving to East Lansing where she retired from the Michigan State University Clinical Center in 2007. Janet loved the Lord and had tremendous faith, which gave her strength as she fought Leukemia for the past two years. She will be remembered for many positive attributes, but most of all her spiritual gift giving and putting others above herself.
Visitation is Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 4-8 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home and on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 10 AM until the time Funeral Services at 11 AM at The Mio United Methodist Church, with Pastor Michelle Forsyth officiating. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery Mio, MI.
