Sandra Louise Burke, 72, of Prudenville

Sandra Louise Burke, 72, of  Prudenville passed away on Thursday April 23, 2020 at home with her loving family by her side.

Sandra was born on April 19, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Theron and Frances (Johnle) Anderson. She grew up in Idaho where she graduated from high school and attended college.  While visiting friends in Michigan she met Dean A. Burke.  He followed Sandra back to Idaho and the couple married in Arco, Idaho on December 20, 1970.  The couple moved from Idaho to Houghton Lake over 30 years ago.  Sandra was a cook at several local restaurants, including Pickwick restaurant, Randy’s Family Restaurant, and Randy’s Country Kitchen. She enjoyed playing mahjong and pool at the senior center and loved spending time with family.

Surviving Mrs. Burke are her three daughters, Monica (Robert) Fenton of Grayling, Darlene McRath of Prudenville, and Terrenne Burke of Grand Rapids; son, Matthew (Lillana) Burke of New Breman, OH; four grandchildren, Trevor McRath, Kurt Smith, Kaylee Burke, and Dita Burke; four brothers, Jim, Art, Brian, and Don Anderson; two sisters, Jean Howard, and Joy Guersnaey; several nieces and nephews.  Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean A Burke; daughter, Holly Marie Bennett; and grandson, Nicholas Bennett. 

Private family services will be held for Sandra Louise Burke.  Memorial contributions in memory of Sandra are asked to be directed to Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, 1001 E. 101st Terrace, Suite 220Kansas City, MO 64131.
