Aileen M. Singbiel, 95, of Riverview and formerly of Houghton Lake

Aileen M. Singbiel, 95, of  Riverview and formerly of Houghton Lake passed away on Saturday April 25, 2020 at Henry Ford-Wyandotte Hospital.

Aileen was born on April 24, 1925 in River Rouge, Michigan to Reinhold and Marie (Schwartz) Kliem. She grew up and attended school in the River Rouge area.   On October 8, 1949 in River Rouge Aileen was married to Elmer C. Singbiel.  Aileen worked as a Secretary for the Michigan Employment Security Commission for many years until her retirement. The couple moved to Houghton Lake from Wyandotte 38 years ago. Aileen had spent the last few years in Wyandotte by her family.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. and the State of Michigan Employee’s Retirement Association.

Surviving Mrs. Singbiel are her loving daughter, Sharon (James) Fuller of Howell; loving son, Dale Singbiel of Riverview; two brothers, Ronald Kliem of MA, and Derald Kliem of CA.  Aileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Singbiel, and son, James Singbiel. 

There will be no services held at this time for Aileen M. Singbiel.  Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township.  Memorial contributions in memory of Aileen are asked to be directed to St. John Lutheran Church. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
