Leonard Joseph “Lenny” Lukaszewski, 90, of Houghton Lake

passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2020 at Mid Michigan Hospital West Branch.

Lenny was born on October 1, 1929 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Kostanty and Angeline (Bembas) Lukaszewski. He grew up in Hamtramck and graduated from St. Florian High School in Hamtramck. Lenny worked as a tool and die maker for General Dynamics for many years before his retirement. On December 19, 1980 in Port Huron Lenny was married to Constance Ellen  Johnston. The couple left Warren for several years in Florida and then moved to Houghton Lake in 2004. Lenny was an outdoorsman, sports enthusiast and loved Polka dancing. His special love was spending time with his family.

Surviving Mr. Lukaszewski are his loving wife of 40 years, Constance Ellen Lukaszewski of Houghton Lake; son, Timothy Lukaszewski of Hudson, FL; daughter, Lynne (Vytas) Verselis of Harrington Park, NJ; three step daughters, Barbara (Bernie) Stuart of Sanford, Theresa (Dominic) Ciaravino of Macomb, and Ellen Early-Schmitz of St. Clair Shores; step son, Gary Early of Detroit; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Teresa Armand of Shelby Twp. and Donna Adams of San Rafael, CA; sister-in-law, Carol Lukaszewski of Petoskey; several nieces and nephews.  Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; step son, James Early; step daughter, Faye Thompson; and brother, Fred Lukaszewski. 

Celebration of Life Services for Leonard Josef Lukaszewski will be conducted at a later date.  Memorial contributions in memory of Leonard are asked to be directed to St. Jude Children Hospitals. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
