Cynthia was born on September 29, 1951 in Hollywood, California to Ronald and Madeline (Staats) Calvin. She grew up in California graduating from high school in Downey, California. Cynthia moved to the Houghton Lake area from California 27 years ago. She worked at the front desk of the Super 8 Motel for the past 20 years. Cynthia was married in Las Vegas to Jimmy Buntt, whom preceded her in death in 2010. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and cooking. but the love of her life was spending time spoiling her grandchildren.
Surviving Mrs. Buntt are her daughter, Marie Elizabeth (Todd) Christensen of Houghton Lake; son, Jeffery Lee Buntt of Henderson, NV; two grandchildren, Khloe and Brynn Christensen; two sisters, Stephanie Calvin of Texas, and Bonnie (Charlie) Brown of FL; brother, Marty Calvin of Texas; nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy; and son, Brian.
Family services will be conducted for Cynthia Jean Buntt. Memorial contributions in memory of Cynthia are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
