Nancy Verhaeghe, age 75, of Roscommon, died on June 1, 2019.
Nancy Grace Carpenter was born April 11, 1944, in Marfa, Texas, to Frederick and Hattie Carpenter. Nancy married Allan Verhaeghe on December 5, 1970. She greatly enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Her husband and her family will remember her primarily as a caregiver, watching for and taking care of both her and her husband’s parents in their times of hardship.
Nancy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Al; daughter Renee (Mark) Puerta; grandchildren, Aimee, Hunter, and Fisher; sister Laurie Engleman; her pets: Gracie and Harley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Frederick Carpenter.
Nancy’s family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.
