Bonnie J. Dean

Bonnie J. Dean, 77, of Houghton Lake passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

Bonnie was born Oct. 16, 1941 in Saginaw to Johnny and Helen (Burns) Varney. Bonnie grew up in the Saginaw and St. Charles area where she graduated from St. Charles High School.

She worked in customer service for many years. In 2008 she moved to Houghton Lake from Saginaw.

Bonnie loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, playing bingo, and visiting with friends and family. She loved the old country music, watching game shows, doing word search puzzles, and getting her nails and toes painted. .

Surviving Mrs. Dean are her son, Curtis (Kristen) Vietti of Houghton Lake; two daughters, Elizabeth Vietti of Lansing and Sabrina Mims of Houghton Lake; six grandchildren, Tarha(Billy) Schneibner of Lansing, Willis(Miranda) Mims Jr. of Houghton Lake, SaTaitshia Mims of Houghton Lake, Breanna(A.J.) Vietti of Houghton Lake, Michael Budnik of Grand Rapids, and Randy and Andrew Schultz of Taylor; four great grandchildren, Emilee, Lilly, and Chastin Schneibner of Lansing, and Royce Crawford of Deckerville; sister, Katherine Simpson of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral Services for Bonnie J Dean will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Rev. George Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel.

Memorial contributions in memory of Bonnie are asked to be directed to the family.
