Martha Ann Baker

Martha Ann Baker, 68, of St. Helen died June 17, 2018 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, Houghton Lake.

Martha was born Feb. 15, 1950 in Millstone KY to Leonard and Ruthal (May) Baker. She resided in St. Helen since 1993, Ypsilanti for 10 years, coming from Millstone, KY.

She was employed by Perfection Automotive Manufacturing where she worked in assembly in Livonia for ten years and was a clerk at various Wal-Mart stores for 20 years.

Martha was a member of Millstone Missionary Baptist Church.

She loved to play cards and crochet.

Surviving are her sister, Sindy Schermerhorn of St. Helen; three nephews, Edward (significant other, Fancy Avery), Wesley and Thomas Schermerhorn, all of St. Helen; niece, Robyn (Mike) Warden of Ypsilanti; three grand-nieces and nephews, Nicole and Matthew Avery and Kayla Warden; and a great-grand-nephew, Jordan Warden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dora Baker and Judy Carol Curtis; nephew, Chad Curtis; and two brothers-in-law, Hubert Curtis and William Schermerhorn

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. June 20, 2018 at Lake St. Helen Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Green officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon handled the arrangements.
