Alice Pauline Dymond, 86, of Roscommon passed away April 16, 2018 at home.
Alice was born in Reno Township, Iosco County Jan. 5, 1932 to William Vernon and Pauline (Brown) Papple. She has resided in Roscommon since 1979 coming from Waterford.
Alice married Elmer Bowers Oct. 23, 1948 in Long Lake. He preceded her in death in 1963. She married Elbert Dymond in Waterford on May 25, 1979. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Alice owned and operated Alice’ Beauty Shop in Waterford from 1964 to 1969, was employed as wire assembly at GM Truck and Bus in Pontiac from 1969 to 1979 and owned and operated The Whistle Stop Party Store in South Branch Township from 1979 to 1984.
Alice enjoyed trips to the casinos, Detroit Tiger Baseball plus playing games and doing puzzles. She loved the special times spent with her children and her grandchildren.
Surviving are two children, Debbie (Mike) Foley of Roscommon and Becky (Kevin) Stilley of Cimarron, CO; five grandchildren, Ryan, Scott (Christina), Lauren (Ian), Chrissy (Alan) and Michael; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother, Leland (Joanne) Papple of West Branch.
She was preceded in death by her many siblings.
A private memorial gathering, for her friends and family, will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Roscommon.
Alice will be buried in Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon.
