Raymond Karl Farrington of Roscommon

Raymond Karl Farrington, 70 of Roscommon, formerly of Lansing, died Jan. 10, 2018.

Ray was born Oct. 18, 1947 in Lansing to Bertram and Priscilla (Barnes) Farrington. He married Paula J. Cariano in 1968 in Lansing.

Ray worked as a mechanic in Lansing for Montgomery Wards and Bill Snethcamp Dodge Chrysler. In 1978 the family moved to Higgins Lake where Ray operated Ray’ Auto Repair until 2001 and then returned to Lansing moving back to Roscommon in 2015. He loved old cars, fishing and the Detroit Tigers.

He is survived by 2 children, Brian (Trish) Farrington of Roscommon and Jamie (Cody) Wells of Westland; 7 grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Vought, Brianna and Eric Farrington, Dakotah, Lauryn, Kynnedi and Madisyn Wells; siblings, Bert (Gayle) Farrington of Chesterton, IN, and Barb Alicea of Lansing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Paula; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck (Rose) Farrington and brother-in-law, Ted Alicea.

The family will receive friends at 12:30 PM, Saturday, Jan. 20 until services at 2 PM at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’ Assn., 25200 Telegraph Rd., Ste. 100, Southfield, MI 48033.
