Wendy Lou Sebert of Roscommon

Wendy Lou Sebert, 54, died June 26, 2017 at her Roscommon home.

She was born October 8, 1962 in Flint, the daughter of David Lee and Irene Fay (Johnson) Powers. She married Douglas C. Sebert on July 17, 1982 in Genesee.

Mrs. Sebert moved from Millington to Roscommon in 1996 and was employed by Mercy Hospital, Grayling, as a registered nurse. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Roscommon Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Doug; three children, Doug (Ashley) Sebert of Cannonsburg, PA, Alicia (Guy) Thurston, Jr. of Roscommon and Seth Sebert of Roscommon; nine grandchildren, Zach, Kaleb, Kaiden, Aubrey, Braden, Elijah, Alli May, Addison and Ian; and her mother, Irene Powers of Roscommon.

Also surviving are two brothers, Davy and Dan Powers, both of Roscommon;

four brothers-in-law, Robert (Diane) Sebert of Millington, Keith Sebert of CA, Bill Sebert

of Millington and Ken (Sherry) Sebert of Millington; three sisters-in-law, Carol (Lee) Deneen of Elkton, Deb Cobb of Millington and Brenda (Vince) Lacavoli of AZ, and several nephews and nieces including, Dana Powers of Davison.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Powers; in-laws, Robert and Crystal Sebert, and brother-in-law, David Cobb.

Visitation is June 29 from 3-8 p.m. at Walsh Funeral Home, and June 30 at Roscommon Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service there at 11 a.m. Dr. Michael Ritchie will officiate.

Interment will be in Rock Cemetery, South Branch.

Memorial donations may be made to the family for her son Seth’ education fund.

Walsh Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
