Margaret Ann Micks of Roscommon

Margaret Ann Micks, 67, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Lighthouse of Roscommon. Margaret lived in Roscommon for the past 12 years, moving to the area from Romeo.

She was born on October 10, 1949 to John and Gladys (Miller) Micks in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. She was a member of St. Helen VFW post 5680, the St. Helen Civic Center, the Eagles Ladies Aux. in Imlay City. She enjoyed playing BINGO, and her numerous trips to the casino.

< >Some of her favorite times of the year were spending Christmas with her families and the numerous Thanksgiving dinners that she prepared and served in St. Helen at the VFW hall.

< >Surviving are her daughters Rose Blakely of Ft. Collins, CO, Gladys DeJesus of North Branch, Maria (Misty) DeJesus of Imlay City, Lisa (Herbert III) Tyson of St. Helen, and Gloria (Tom) Bashaw of Romeo; her 24 loving grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother, Gladys Micks of Capac; loving partner Robert Hurd of Roscommon; son, Wesley (Gaberielle) Hurd of Overland Park, KA; daughter, Heather Tice of Eaton Rapids; son, Dennis Hurd of Eaton Rapids; seven sisters; and three brothers.

< >She is preceded in death by her father, and sister, Rosemary.

< >A memorial service was held at the VFW Hall.

< >Memorial Donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
