Frank Lester Hursey of Roscommon

Frank Lester Hursey, 82, of Roscommon passed away Jan. 26, 2017 at his home.

Frank was born in Wyandotte on Nov. 10, 1934 to Donald G. and Lottie H. (Lukasika Hursey). He married Josephine ‘JoAnne’ Clymer on April 23, 1955 in Penns Grove, NJ. He was in the US Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Hursey moved to Roscommon in 1997, coming from Southgate after he retired from being employed for 30 years as a welder repairman at Ford Motor Company, Woodhaven Stamping Plant.

He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Roscommon. He was also a member of Grayling Moose Lodge 1162. He loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, JoAnne; children, Frank (Deborah) Hursey of Southgate, Brenda (Paul) Lazere of Romulus, Norman (Tracey) Hursey of Warren and Melissa (Kevin Vigneau) Wagner of Riverview; 11 grandchildren, Rachel (Dave DaSacco) Lazere, Paul (Melissa) Lazere, Jr., Shawn Hursey, Tarin Wagner, Ryan (Jessica) Hursey, Jordan Wagner, Ian Vigneau and Paul III, Kevin, Harrison and Logan Lazere; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Lazere, Aurora and Aria Hursey; one great-great grandchild, Layne Lazere; two sisters, Marie (Tom) Philport and Carole (William) Killen; and a brother, David (Ellen) Hursey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Billie Sheare; and a brother, Don Hursey.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Roscommon Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Larry Sergott officiating. Ennichement will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in the future.

Memorial donations may be made to Grayling Moose Lodge 1162, P.O. Box 763, Roscommon, MI 48653
