Michael E. Spenny, 61, died January 11, 2017 in Flint.
He was born in Grayling, the son of Richard and Louise Spenny.
Mr. Spenny was employed in many jobs, but his favorite was driving tugboats in the Gulf in his youth, and fabricating experimental superconductors in his 50s.
The greatest joys of his life were relaxing at his hunting camp with family and friends, crisp fall days at Michigan Stadium and playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his mother, Louise Henrich; sons, Jason and Joe Spenny; and grandchildren, Samuel Michael and Alice Fira.
Also surviving are siblings Jeff Green, Nancy Owens, and Judy Kopka; and nieces and nephews Julee Blackstock, Justin Green and Josh Kopka.
Mr. Spenny will lie in rest at his hunting camp in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Cremation has taken place.
