Jeffrey Joel Galliher of Houghton Lake

Jeffrey Joel Galliher, 57, of Houghton Lake passed away November 23, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with his loving family at his side.

He was born on February 26, 1959 in Grayling to Fred and Janet Irene (Britten) Galliher, and grew up in the Houghton Lake area where he attended school and spent most of his life.

Mr. Galliher was employed as a truck driver and pulp wood cutter by Mumma Forest Products and Bradley Forest Products for several years. He later did carpentry work in the Houghton Lake area. He was a former member of the Lake Township Fire Department and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his two daughters, Dulce Galliher of Grosse Isle, and Emma Galliher of Mt. Pleasant; several grandchildren; brother, Greg (Cindy) Galliher; sister, Kim (Dave) McFarlane; mother, Janet I. Sprague; father, Fred Galliher; and long time girl friend, Missy Hasty, all of Houghton Lake.

Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Memorial contributions in memory of Jeff are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor’ choice.

Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
