Connie Ruth Northrup of Houghton Lake

Connie Ruth Northrup, 68, of Houghton Lake passed away on September 20, 2016 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, Houghton Lake.

She was born on April 2, 1948 in Bridgeport to Glenn and Arlene (Schindler) Wolpert, where she grew up and graduated from Bridgeport High School.

Ms. Northrup was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her two daughters. She moved to Houghton Lake from Beaverton more than 20 year ago.

She enjoyed fishing in Houghton Lake especially behind Whiteheads with her longtime friend Donald Huntley.

Surviving are her two daughters, Tina (Terry Brownell) Northrup of Midland, and Linda (Matthew) Woloszyk of Houghton Lake; five grandchildren, Yasmyn, Jessica (Jordan), Traymyn, Tyler, and Troy; great-granddaughter, Avery Grace;and great-grandson, Brentley Michael.

Also surviving are two brothers, Gerry (Beth) Wolpert of Beaverton, and David (Barb) Wolpert of Beaverton; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family services for Connie Ruth Northrup will be conducted. Interment will be in Dale Cemetery, Beaverton. Memorial contributions in memory of Connie are asked to be directed to King Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre.

Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
