Sheila M. Dobie of Higgins Lake

Sheila M. Dobie, 65, died unexpectedly on May 17, 2016 at her home on Higgins Lake. As she wished, cremation has taken place and a memorial commemorating her life will be planned this summer in the Higgins Lake area.

She was born on November 14, 1950 to John W. and Lura I. (Raymond) Kiely. Raised in Vestaburg she was a 1968 graduate of Vestaburg High School and attended Ferris State University. She lived in Alma for many years and was employed at Total Petroleum, Inc. More recently she was a tax analyst at H & R Block near her winter home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Mrs. Dobie and her husband, Marvin, spent many years between their homes at Higgins Lake in the summer months, and Vero Beach and Port St. Lucie, Florida in the winter months. They met many dear friends and sustained many friendships which she continued after Marvin died in 2006.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Marvin L. Dobie, and a brother, Terrence F. Kiely of Chicago, Illinois.

She is survived by a brother, John W. Kiely, Jr. of Wyandotte; sister, Peggy Pisani of Park Ridge, Illinois; two step-daughters, Phyllis A. Hall and Pamela S. Godley both of Mt. Pleasant; step-grandchildren, John O. Davila, Anjanette L. Hall, Justin J. Godley, Brett J. Godley, Jessica M. Underwood, Thomas W. Hall, III and Christopher C. Hall, and her nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were handled by Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
