Philip Glen Verdui, 69, of Roscommon died June 22, 2016 at his home. A celebration of his life will be conducted June 30, at Walsh Funeral Home in Roscommon where the family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. until services at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Kathy Murphy.
Mr. Verdui was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on February 10, 1947 the son of Manuel Sala and Alice Eldora (King) Verdui who preceded him in death. On June 21, 1969 he married Linda K. Long in Corona, California. He served our country in the Navy from 1965-1970 and was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He retired in 2004 from Weyerhaeuser as a safety manager after 37 years working at plants in Kalmath Falls and Springfield, Oregon; Longview, Washington and Grayling. He had been a Roscommon resident since 1982 and had previously lived in Longview, Washington and Eugene, Oregon. He enjoyed golf, traveling with Linda and photography. He had a very interesting camera collection.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; two daughters, Heather Verdui and spouse, Dallas Denny of Ringwood, New Jersey and Tara Verdui of Clinton Township; two grandchildren, Jade Verdui and Zara Pritchard; great-grandson, Jonny; three sisters, Alice Faye (Ron) Croxford, Sherril Geer (significant other, Ed) and Barbara Jean (Jeff) Ingmire.
