Leslie Ray Grewe of Sterling Heights

Leslie Ray Grewe, 76, of Swartz Creek passed away April 6, 2016 at his residence.

Leslie was born in Mt. Clemens on July 15, 1939 to LaVern and Treva (Duff) Grewe. He married Alberta (Combs) Noble on Dec. 18, 2006 in South Branch Township. He was previously married to Judy Carol (Hernden) who passed away May 19, 2005.

Leslie resided in Swartz Creek for five months, Roscommon for 13 years, coming from Richmond.

Leslie was a maintenance engineer at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for 23 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Gaylord Life Tabernacle.

Leslie enjoyed working on cars or anything with a motor, trail riding in his Jeep and bow hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Bertie Grewe; three sons, Carey Grewe of Roscommon, Bruce (Carol) Grewe of Richmond and Brian Grewe of Richmond; four grandchildren, Erica Richey, Jamie Grewe, Mike Grewe and Samantha (Anthony) Howard; five great-grandchildren, Bradley, Camryn, Jada, Anthony and Hayden; brother, Larry (Joyce) Grewe of Richmond; sister, Barbara Wilson of Sterling Heights; brother-in law, Paul (Nora) Combs of Jackson, KY; and six sisters-in-law, Katherine Brewer of Covington, KY, Joyce Walters of Swartz Creek, Dora (Bob) Sensing of Roscommon, Glenda Sheridon of Grand Blanc, Anita (Dave) Stinson of Lennon and Wilma (Ken) Thompson of Saldee, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Judy; and sister, Betty Cuthbertson.

Funeral services will were held April 9, 2016 at Walsh Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Hammonds officiating. Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery, Roscommon.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’ choice.

Arrangements were handled by Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon.
