Gregory Shewchenko, 59, of Roscommon passed away April 7, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Shewchenko was born June 30, 1956 in Detroit to Tara and Valentina (Bowdziej) Shewchenko. He married Susan Radford Watt on Sept. 15, 1997 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Mr. Shewchenko resided in Romulus prior to moving to Roscommon in 2008.
Mr. Shewchenko retired as a hi-lo operator with GM Willow Run Hydramatic Plant after 32 years. He was a member of the Eagles, Grayling Moose, and the NRA. He was a gear-head who loved Chevys and riding in anything that would go fast.
Surviving are son, Ryan (Wendy) of Westland and his mother Sandra Norris; step-children, Kendra Watt of Pontiac and Joseph Watt of Romulus; seven grandchildren; mother, Valentina Shewchenko; and sister, Eleanor Carter of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Susan; and siblings, Jerry Shewchenko and Zoya Shewchenko.
Private family services will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to Crawford County Commission on Aging.
