Mio man charged with CSC

MIO – A Mio man was arrested and charged with criminal sexual conduct, according to a statement from the Michigan State Police.

In February 2024 troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post were requested to investigate sexual allegations made by a child that had occurred earlier that year.

The victim was interviewed, and the investigation led to an arrest warrant being authorized on March 11, 2024, for 38-year-old Justin Lee Taylor from Mio. Taylor was arrested later that day at his residence and taken to the Oscoda County Jail.

Taylor was arraigned in the 81st District Court in Oscoda County on one count Criminal Sexual Conduct Fourth Degree Victim Between 13-16, one count Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes, and one count Indecent Exposure. His bond was set at $50,000 10% cash surety.

His next scheduled court appearance is on April 2 at 9 a.m.
