Ogemaw Hills Snowmobile Club earns state honors

By Christine Swiderski

WEST BRANCH – The Michigan Snowmobile Association voted the Ogemaw Hills Snowmobile Club (OHSC) as its 2015-2016 Club of the Year. Volunteers play a big role in receiving such a prestigious award. They spend time maintaining the trails, parking lot, and equipment, and mowing grass or chopping wood for warming stations.

On April 1 the club put out a call for volunteers to help install a new furnace, take chains off the groomers, and build scaffolding to put up tile in the groomer barn.

OHSC memberships are available on line at www.ohsconline.com. Look for the Ogemaw Hills Snowmobile Club on Facebook, and if you are interested in volunteering, call Jim Kelts 989-473-3062.
