Range firing schedule: August 30 thru September 6 (Labor Day)

GRAYLING – Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center have very little activity this week with the exception of Air-to-Ground Range 40 aerial gunnery and environmental assessments.

The Special Use Restricted Airspace 4201-A/B, over Range 30 & 40 Complexes, is active for pilots from MI-107 Fighter Squadron. This is the typical fixed-wing training activity seen week-in and week-out at the 40 complex. South Camp small arms ranges are in use by Camp Grayling Environmental Office and to conduct assessments of the training land and ranges. Roads adjacent to northwest side of Range 40 may be CLOSED for civilian traffic safety. All other roads adjacent to South Camp and the MPRC are OPEN.

This week we salute the nation’s labor force for its social accomplishments and economic achievements since the turn of the 19th Century. Labor Day honors of working people of the United States, and has become the last chance for many in Michigan to have time off and relax for the last weekend of summer. Soldiers of the Michigan National Guard stand ready, but will also “take a knee” with the rest of the rest of working people, and the community surrounding Camp Grayling.

Colonel Scott Meyers thanks the community for all the outstanding support received by the National Guard during this past summer training season.
