Alpena man charged with taking photos of naked minors

ALPENA – An Alpena man has been charged with using a bathroom camera to take photos of naked girls, according to a statement from the Michigan State Police.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post were contacted on Nov. 6 after a woman discovered images of a young girl on the phone belonging to 41-year-old Eugene Kenneth Hayes from Alpena.

The nude images were taken using a hidden borescope in the bathroom of the home. Hayes was interviewed and subsequently arrested.

He was lodged in the Alpena County Jail.

Hayes was arraigned yesterday in the 88th District Court in Alpena County on two counts Capturing Distributing Image of Unclothed Person, and one count Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.

He was given a $25,000 cash surety bond.
