Mixed bag in Roscommon County millages

ROSCOMMON COUNTY – Millages from Roscommon County resulted in a mixed bag in the Feb. 27 primary election.
Millage results included:
Roscommon public safety millage fell 4.349-2,822.

Gypsy Moth millage passed 4,046-3,119
Backus Township Ambulance increase passed 68-35.
Backus Township Fire Protection increase passed 67-38.
Lake Township fire renewal passed 261-214.

COOR ISD millage increase failed 4,592-3466.

In the presidential primaries:
Joe Biden won the Democratic primary with 1554 votes
In the Republican primary, Donald Trump led Nikki Haley 3827-965.
