UPDATE: Missing Mo girl found

OSCODA COUNTY – A 17-year old Mio girl who went missing was found about 5:45 p.m. tonight.

According to the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post, Makinzie Rae Roznowski was located hiding beneath a bridge in Luzerne by a trooper from the MSP Houghton Lake Post i

Lt. Derrick Carroll said Roznowski is safe and will be returned to her family.

Roznowski was last seen in her bedroom last night at her home on W. Cherry Creek Road in Mio. She was not in her room this morning when her parents went to check on her at 8:30 a.m.

She does not have a cell phone or social media accounts, and left a note stating she was sorry for an incident at school.

MSP K-9 units searched the immediate area around the home and the MSP Aviation Unit was activated to assist with the search.
